'The Sun’ : A dress.

​

“The system is broken, let’s worship an alternative way. Regrow, repair and transform” **

 

Observing nature’s cyclical systems of regeneration as a blueprint to recreate within our practices.

 

The pattern originates from a simple circle, echoing our view of the Sun’s form. The fabric is deconstructed shirts pieced back together in a completely unique way. All 14 pre-existing shirts were carefully selected and collated to celebrate the craftspersonship of the previous garment. The original cuffs, buttons and plackets allow for drape bringing an unpredictable and unexpected energy to the silhouette.

​

The collaboration brings together two creative studio's with a shared mission to upend the status quo and redefine the value in 'waste'.
